Intersec Dubai 2025: PIDS Vendors Converge on World's Largest Security Exhibition
Over 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries gathered at the Dubai World Trade Centre for Intersec 2025 (January 14–16), the world's largest trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection. The Commercial & Perimeter Security sector drew strong vendor participation across intrusion detection, radar, fiber optic sensing, and LiDAR-based perimeter systems.
OPTEX and Fiber SenSys — both part of the OPTEX Group — took the Intersec Award for Exemplary Perimeter Security Solutions for their EchoPoint Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) platform. EchoPoint uses standard telecommunications fiber to detect and locate intrusion events along extended perimeters, a capability increasingly sought for critical infrastructure and border applications.
OPTEX also demonstrated the REDSCAN Pro LiDAR sensor, offering up to 100 metres of detection coverage in a single unit, and previewed new point-location detection products for high-security sites.
Other notable perimeter exhibitors included SORHEA (infrared barriers and fiber optic sensing, Booth S2-F22), Gato Security (F7-DAS with 120 km range and ±1-metre positioning), Axis Communications (combined thermal, radar, and analytics), and Genetec (unified video, access control, and intrusion management).
Intersec 2025 reported 52,000+ visitors across its three-day run. The 2026 edition is scheduled for January 12–14.
