Senstar Closes Blickfeld Acquisition, Adds 3D LiDAR to Portfolio
Senstar Technologies Corporation has completed the acquisition of Blickfeld GmbH, the Munich-based 3D LiDAR sensor manufacturer, for €10.4 million plus performance earnouts of up to €1 million. The deal, announced in December 2025, closed on February 17, 2026.
Blickfeld now operates as an autonomous Senstar subsidiary, retaining its Munich team and product development operations. The QbProtect 3D security LiDAR sensor joins Senstar's MultiSensor perimeter ecosystem alongside FlexZone fence sensors, OmniTrax buried cable detection, and Symphony video management software.
The acquisition makes Senstar the first major pure-play PIDS vendor with native 3D LiDAR capability in its product portfolio. Competitors offering LiDAR-based perimeter detection — OPTEX (REDSCAN Pro), Ouster (Gemini) — approach the market from the sensor or camera side rather than from an integrated perimeter detection platform.
Senstar Technologies (NASDAQ/TSX: SNT) is a subsidiary of RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems through Aeronautics Ltd. The company's perimeter products are deployed at over 7,000 sites globally, including nuclear facilities, military installations, airports, and correctional centres.
