Senstar Technologies Agrees to Acquire Blickfeld GmbH for €10.4M
Senstar Technologies Corporation has announced an agreement to acquire Blickfeld GmbH, a Munich-based 3D LiDAR sensor manufacturer, for €10.4 million with an additional €1 million in performance-based earnouts.
The acquisition adds Blickfeld's QbProtect high-precision 3D security LiDAR sensor to Senstar's MultiSensor perimeter ecosystem, which currently includes fence-mounted sensors (FlexZone), buried cable detection (OmniTrax), and video management software (Symphony). Blickfeld will operate as an autonomous subsidiary, maintaining its existing team and Munich operations.
Founded in 2017 as a spin-out from the Technical University of Munich, Blickfeld originally developed LiDAR sensors for automotive applications before expanding into security, smart buildings, and crowd analytics. The QbProtect sensor provides privacy-compliant 3D detection and classification — producing point cloud data rather than identifiable imagery — for perimeter zones, rooftops, and access points.
Senstar characterises the acquisition as entering a segment growing at over 20% annually. The deal positions Senstar as the first major pure-play PIDS vendor to integrate 3D LiDAR natively into its product portfolio, rather than relying on third-party camera integrations for volumetric detection.
The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2026. Senstar Technologies (NASDAQ/TSX: SNT) is the parent company of Senstar Inc., headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, and is itself a subsidiary of RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems through Aeronautics Ltd.
