SightLogix and Navtech Radar Announce Perimeter Integration Partnership
SightLogix and Navtech Radar have announced a technology partnership integrating Navtech's perimeter intrusion detection radar with SightLogix's SightSensor smart thermal cameras and SightTracker PTZ systems.
The integration creates an end-to-end outdoor PIDS solution: Navtech radar provides wide-area detection and tracking across open terrain, while SightLogix thermal AI cameras deliver automated visual verification and classification at the point of intrusion. Radar track data automatically slews SightTracker PTZ cameras to the target location, reducing operator workload and response time.
The partnership reflects a broader market trend toward multi-sensor fusion in perimeter security, where combining radar's area coverage with thermal imaging's classification accuracy addresses the limitations of either technology deployed alone. Radar detects movement at long range but cannot classify what is moving; thermal cameras classify targets but cover narrower fields of view. Integrated, they offer detection, classification, and tracking in a single automated workflow.
SightLogix, based in New Jersey, specialises in thermal AI cameras for critical infrastructure perimeters. Navtech Radar, headquartered in Oxfordshire, UK, manufactures FMCW radar for perimeter security, airport ground surveillance, and industrial automation. The partnership positions both companies to compete for multi-sensor PIDS specifications at military, energy, and aviation sites.
