SORHEA Launches HATCH-SECURE Intrusion Detector
SORHEA has launched HATCH-SECURE, a multi-sensor intrusion detector designed specifically for hatches and critical access points. The system detects impact, cutting, and drilling attempts using a combination of vibration analysis and contact sensing.
Hatches, manholes, and service access points represent a persistent gap in many perimeter security architectures. While fence lines and building envelopes receive dedicated detection coverage, below-grade and roof-level access points are frequently monitored only by periodic patrol or general-area CCTV — if at all. HATCH-SECURE is designed to close this gap with a self-contained sensor that installs directly on the access point.
The product targets utility infrastructure (water, electrical, telecommunications), data centres, and government facilities where subterranean or rooftop entry points present genuine intrusion pathways that bypass conventional perimeter detection.
SORHEA, based in Vaulx-en-Velin near Lyon, France, manufactures infrared barriers, fiber optic detection, and specialty sensors for perimeter and access point protection. The company's products are certified for deployment at French nuclear facilities and military installations.
